 Sister's Dinner Gathering  Friday, September 17, 2010, 6:00PM  at Enzo's Restaurant in Lake Katrine Please note the following change: the amount you pay will depend on what you order from the menu.  The Lord's Table - will be a part of our service this morning. We are privileged to understand the power of Jesus Christ's death on our behalf. Please hold the communion elements until distribution is complete. We will partake together as the family of God.

Morning Star Fall Picnic   will be on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at the Town of Ulster Park (Robert Post Park) following the service. Bring a lawn chair and if you are able, please bring a dish to add to the buffet table. Plan to come out and have a great time of fellowship. All are welcome!

Prayer Meetings are held here in the Prayer Room every Tuesday evening from 6:30 - 7:30PM.

All Are Encouraged  to become involved with the Wednesday night prayer meetings which begin at 7:00PM in the Prayer Room. These gatherings are in Morning Star's "map room" and filled with the Word of the Lord, His wisdom, and revelation of His purpose for us. God is pouring out His Spirit on Wednesday nights. Come - you will be changed!

Our Summer Program    for children ages 4 - 8.. Children's Fellowship Hour (CFH) concludes today. The last class for this season will be in Classrooms 104 & 105 during the preaching time this morning. The children will be dismissed with a podium announcement.  The teaching theme for the summer has been "The Parables of Jesus" and today's teacher will be Sarah S. Our regular Sunday School Session will begin next Sunday, September 12th.

 Memorial Service For Helen F  will take place in the Prayer Room on Wednesday evening, September 15, 2010. Worship music and praise will begin at 7:00 p.m. Opportunity will then be given to friends and family to share a personal remembrance about Helen. Please contact Dean F ahead of time if you would like to share a memory. Dean's contact information is on MSCF's phone list.

Sunday School Sign-up for Students  If your child will be attending Sunday School in September, please sign him/her up at the back table today.

Two Sunday School Teachers Are Needed   We are in need of 1 teacher for the Pre - K  and 1st & 2nd grade groups. Please see Zeresh P or sign the sheet on the back table.

Morning Star Missions Trip   Plans are moving forward for Sarah S to return to India and Nagaland for the third consecutive year. Proverbs 25:25 continues to be her Missions Trip scripture theme. This trip includes a possible visit with Eddie & Jackie Santoro in Israel, long-time Morning Star Missions Partners. God willing, Sarah's visit will be the first visit of someone from Morning Star. Please pray for the Lord's wisdom and guidance as decisions are made re: itinerary. Please pray for Sarah's health, strength, and the Lord's provision of the ticket expense. Sarah covets your prayer support!

Youth Group for Children ages 6 - 12   will be on Friday, September 24th from 6:30-7:30 PM. If you plan to come, please sign the sheet ion the back table. Please see Peter or Malinda J for  more information.

We see commitment and dedication in them to serve the Lord." Please pray that they will be strong builders for the Kingdom of God. Rosh Hashanah falls on Thursday, September 9, 2010. The Jewish New Year will usher in YR 5671. This is a good time to renew our prayers for the salvation of Israel and for our mission partners, Eddie & Jackie Santoro, who have been serving the Lord's purposes in Israel since August, 1997. The name of their congregation is "Ahavat Yeshua."

The Pregnancy Support Centers of Ulster County will be having their "Bundles of Joy" Fundraising Banquet and Silent Auction on September 24, 2010 beginning at 6:30 PM. This event will be held at the Hudson Valley Resort, 4001 Granite Road, Kerhonkson, NY .

All are welcome to stay and fellowship in the back of the gym after the service. Please help yourself to a cup of tea or coffee and other light refreshments back there. Thank you to our faithful brothers in the Porter Ministry who put out the coffee and tea each week for our time of fellowship following the service.  Parents/Guardians are reminded to please escort your children to the coffee/tea/hot chocolate table and oversee their dispensing of hot water in a cup.  Also, please keep your children with you during this time to prevent accidents. Thank you.

 Tape/CD Ministry -  a suggested donation of $!.00 per CD  will help defray the cost of production. Additional donations and underwriting this valuable ministry are also welcome. Please place in can on the back table. Thank you!

Defibrillator   As some may not be aware, in case of an emergency, there is a Defibrillator located in the back of the gymnasium next to the Handicap bathroom door.

Good Shepherd School Fall Golf Tournament and Barbecue  will be at Lazy Swan Golf Course in Saugerties on October 2, 2010 from 10:00AM-4:00PM. For more information and cost, please see Dan R, Bob T or Robin V.

"See You at the Pole" (SYATP) will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 on school campuses across the USA. Please pray for this student-led prayer movement; pray for humble, courageous young leaders to set the example of Christ-likeness and take the GOOD NEWS to their fellow students. Care on Sunday Mornings is provided for toddlers (1-3 year olds) and is a tremendous help to those who have small children. Thank you to all those attendants & helpers who watch the children each week. Reminder that  parents & children come in at 11:00 a.m.
