Another Year of Prayer Our annual "Adopt-A-Nation
Prayer Project" was presented on December 11, 2011. Thank you to
all who responded to the invitation to adopt a country for the
coming year. Your consistent and compassionate prayer will
continue to propel the preaching of the Gospel in nations where
Christians are persecuted for their faith. Updates may be found
at www.persecution.org
Bible Teaching “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord” by Pastor James Smith continues on Wednesdays at 7:00PM in the Prayer Room. Please come out and hear the Word of the Lord. Water Baptisms New Testament water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is performed here at Morning Star Christian Fellowship. All those new believers and those new to Morning Star are encouraged to inquire about water baptism. Please either speak to our Pastor, James R. Smith, or contact the church office (845.339.5199) to make an appointment to learn about this essential Christian rite. We are planning baptisms for January or early February. Bagel Brunch We will be having a Benefit Bagel Brunch for Bruce and Vivian T on January 29th after the service. Bruce and Vivian lost their home during Hurricane Irene this past fall. We are asking for monetary donations to help them replace the many lost items, including appliances. Also, please remember them in prayer during this time of rebuilding. "Caught in Between: Post-Election Egypt" is the headliner article in the January, 2012 edition of Persecution. International Christian Concern (ICC) based in Washington, D.C. publishes current accounts of religious persecution and analysis of political changes which affect Christians. NOTE: Graphic photos make this edition "For Adults Only!" Copies are free-of-charge and are available on the back table.
