Bible Teaching “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord” by Pastor James Smith continues on Wednesdays at 7:00PM in the Prayer Room. Please come out and hear the Word of the Lord.

Water Baptisms   New Testament water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is performed here at Morning Star Christian Fellowship. All those new believers and those new to Morning Star are encouraged to inquire about water baptism. Please either speak to our Pastor, James R. Smith, or contact the church office (845.339.5199) to make an appointment to learn about this essential Christian rite. We are planning baptisms for mid January or early February.

Bagel Brunch  We will be having a  Benefit Bagel Brunch  for Bruce and Vivian T on January 29th after the service. Bruce and Vivian lost their home during Hurricane Irene this past fall. We are asking for monetary donations to help them replace the many lost items, including appliances. Also, please remember them in prayer during this time of rebuilding.  Please make checks payable to Morning Star Christian Fellowship.

"The Woelfersheim Family deeply appreciates everyone who rallied around them as they took yet another step of faith, and welcomed Elijah John into their family.  All of your prayers, healthy meals, gifts, hugs, words of encouragement, and time helped us adjust more easily into our new roles as big brothers, big sisters, and parents of six children.  We are so thankful for our church family support!  We pray for each one of you to be blessed in numerous and unique ways as you have reached out to us in our time of transition."

"Seek God for the  City 2012"   Morning Star's annual forty days of   fasting & prayer is scheduled to begin on February 22 and run through April 1, 2012. Each day will feature a specific "prayer topic." More details will be forthcoming. Would you begin now to consider participating?

Service Cancellations  due to inclement weather will be announced on WFGB, Sound of Life Radio, 89.7 FM, or www.soundoflife.org.  You can also check  our website, www.morningstarcf.org, or call the office to be added to the bulk email list. On questionable days, an announcement will be made either way.

All are welcome to stay after the service to fellowship and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Parents/grandparents are reminded to please escort your children to the coffee/tea/hot chocolate table and oversee their dispensing of hot water in a cup.  Also, please keep your children with you each week during this time. Thank you.

Supernatural Healing  Tia Ao, our mission partner in Nagaland, shares her story of supernatural healing. "For many years I had suffered with painful arthritis and minor crippling in my hands, ankles, and feet and was taking medication for pain. Last year I began experiencing side-effects. Ten months ago the Lord instructed me to stop taking all medication. Praise the Lord! I have had no pain or dizziness or nausea since I stopped taking medicine. Thank you for your prayers!"

Women’s Conference Report  This news comes all the way from Bhutan and West Bengal State of India. Tia Ao and Sentila Jamir traveled by all-night bus, two-hour air flight, and five hour vehicle journey to attend large five-day women's conference in Jaigon. Senti spoke ten times (standing ninety minutes with Nepalese interpreter) and Tia gave stirring testimony regarding God’s healing and provision. The women are giving glory to Jesus Christ for His power and answered prayer. To the church at Morning Star they say: “Thank you for praying faithfully.”
